Department of Vehicle Regulation’s revamped website offers more online services

Can renew registration online

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 3, 2016) — The Department of Vehicle Regulation (DVR) has revamped its website to allow motorists to renew vehicle registrations, enroll in state traffic school, file trucking taxes or purchase driving history records.

The site also allows commercial vehicle operators to apply for permits and drivers to pay license reinstatement fees. In addition, information tabs on the site’s homepage provide details for accessing the status of commercial driver license (CDL) applications as well as for understanding mandatory insurance laws. These examples of the myriad services currently offered by the site are the result of DVR’s desire to satisfy the needs of its customers.

Motorists can still visit their local Circuit Court Clerk and County Clerk offices, as well as the One-Stop Shop in Frankfort.
