Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 7, 2016) — Gov. Matt Bevin has made appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions.

  • Ashley Bruggeman has been appointed to the Kentucky Humanities Council. Bruggeman, of Lexington, is Regional Account Executive at Scranton Products. Bruggeman will serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.
  • Thomas H. Appleton has been appointed to the Kentucky Humanities Council. Appleton, of Lexington, is Foundation Professor of History at Eastern Kentucky University. Appleton will serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.
  • Aristofanes Credeno has been appointed to the Kentucky Humanities Council. Cedeno, of Louisville, is Associate Professor of Spanish at the University of Louisville and Executive Director of the Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program. Cedeno will serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.
  • Howard V. Roberts has been appointed to the Kentucky Humanities Council. Roberts, of Pikeville, is Dean and Professor at University of Pikeville’s Coleman College of Business. Roberts will serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.
  • Theodore R. Kuster has been appointed to the Kentucky Horse Park Commission. Kuster, of Paris, co-owns Shawhan Place, a Thoroughbred horse farm in Paris. Kuster will serve for a term expiring May 24, 2019.
  • Pamela Blatz-Murff has been appointed to the Kentucky Horse Park Commission. Blatz-Murff, of Lexington, is a retired Thoroughbred owner/breeder. Blatz-Murff will serve for a term expiring May 24, 2019.
  • Abby Jones has been appointed to the Kentucky Horse Park Commission. Jones, of Lexington, is Principal at A. Jones Enterprises, LLC. Ms. Jones will serve for a term expiring May 24, 2020.
  • Kenneth Alan Potish has been appointed to the Financial Institutions Board. Potish, of Louisville, is Sales Manager of Alpha Leasing Company. Potish will represent citizens at large and serve for a term expiring Oct. 10, 2020.
  • Terry Bunnell has been appointed to the Financial Institutions Board. Bunnell, of Glasgow, is Community Banker at The Peoples Bank. Bunnell will represent the banking industry and serve for a term expiring Oct. 10, 2020.
  • James Michael Rogers has been appointed to the Financial Institutions Board. Rogers, of Prospect, is retired and former COO of Hilliard Lyons. Rogers will represent the broker/dealer securities industry and serve for a term expiring Oct. 10, 2020.
  • Rita D. Wooten has been appointed to the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs. Wooten, of Hyden, is a teacher aid. Wooten will serve for a term expiring Dec. 20, 2019.
  • John Tyler Cecil has been appointed to the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs. Cecil, of Paducah, is a physician. Cecil will serve for a term expiring Dec. 20, 2019.
  • Harland C. Hatter has been reappointed to the Waste Tire Working Group. Hatter, of Cynthiana, is Deputy Director of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. Hatter will represent the Department of Agriculture and serve for a term expiring Aug. 1, 2019.
  • Ronald Lee Washington has been appointed to the Kentucky Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision and designated as Vice Chair of the Council. Washington, of Covington, is a small business owner. Washington will represent at large members, serve as Vice Chair and serve for a term expiring Sept. 6, 2020.
  • John Schickel has been designated Chair of the Kentucky Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision. Schickel, of Union, is a state senator.  Shickel will serve as Chair of the Council.
  • Tiffany Moore Rank has been appointed to the Finance and Administration Engineering-Related Services Selection Committee. Rank, of Winchester, is a civil engineer. Rank will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2017.
  • David Robert Cobb has been appointed to the Finance and Administration Engineering-Related Services Selection Committee. Cobb, of Madisonville, is retired and a part time sole proprietor engineer consultant. Cobb will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2017.
  • Joseph “Jay” Gilbert Thomas has been appointed to the Finance and Administration Engineering-Related Services Selection Committee. Thomas, of Louisville, is a civil engineer. Thomas will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2017.
  • Brad W. Rister has been appointed to the Transportation Engineering and Engineering-Related Services Selection Committee. Rister, of Lexington, is Program Manager of the Kentucky Transportation Center Pavements, Materials, Geotech and Infrastructure Assessment Section. Rister will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2017.
  • Wesley Craig Sydnor has been appointed to the Transportation Engineering and Engineering-Related Services Selection Committee. Sydnor, of Liberty, is a civil engineer. Sydnor will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2017.
  • Mark J. Day has been appointed to the Transportation Engineering and Engineering-Related Services Selection Committee. Day, of Nicholasville, is Director of Engineering and Maintenance at Blue Grass Airport. Day will serve for a term expiring Oct. 2, 2017.
  • Thomas Salyer has been appointed to the Education Professional Standards Board. Salyer, of Paintsville, is Superintendent of the Johnson County Board of Education. Salyer will represent school administrators and serve for a term expiring Sept. 18, 2020.
  • Daniel R. Morgan has been appointed to the Education Professional Standards Board. Morgan, of Louisville, is a teacher. Morgan will represent secondary school teachers and serve for a term expiring Sept. 18, 2020.
  • Tracy Voils Adams has been appointed to the Education Professional Standards Board. Adams, of Russell Springs, is a teacher. Adams will represent secondary school teachers and serve for a term expiring Sept. 18, 2020.
