Sacramento, Ky. receives $500,000 grant for new fire station

Response times to be improved

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 19, 2016) — The Department for Local Government (DLG) approved funding for a $ 500,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the City of Sacramento, located in McLean County, to design and construct a new fire station.

The new station will have three pull through double bays which will improve response time, as well as a training room and improved equipment storage.

CDBG provides assistance to communities for use in revitalizing neighborhoods, expanding affordable housing and economic opportunities, providing infrastructure and/or improving community facilities and services. ​​​
