12 hospitals receive an A, four a D
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 31, 2016) — Twelve Kentucky hospitals received grades of A from the Leapfrog Group as part of its latest Hospital Safety Grade, which releases a bi-annual report that assigns letter grades to 2,633 U.S. hospitals for patient safety. Overall, 52 Kentucky hospitals were ranked.
Grades are calculated using 30 publicly available hospital safety performance measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Hospital Association’s Annual Survey and Health Information Technology Supplement.
