International Association of Culinary Professionals conference to be held in Louisville

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 3, 2017) — The International Association of Culinary Professionals will hold its annual conference March 3-5 at the Marriott Downtown in Louisville. IACP was founded in 1978 by cooking school owners and instructors, including Julia Child.

imgres-1Confirmed speakers include Melissa Clark, Ed Lee, Dorie Greenspan, Kat Kinsman, Sam Sifton, Peter Reinhart, Rick Rodgers and Molly Yeh.

Registration is not yet open. A full schedule of events is expected to be released on Jan. 9.

Tentative schedule of events:

March 3
Morning through afternoon: Foodie field trips around the region or in-depth workshops
Late afternoon: Orientation session
Evening: Taste of Louisville opening party
Later night: Night Owl sessions

March 4
Morning: Breakfast followed by keynote presentation and break-out sessions
Midday: Expo lunch, with lots of “extracurriculars”
Afternoon: Breakout sessions
Evening: Community Cook In, world premier movie event, fundraising dinner with The Culinary Trust

March 5
Morning: Breakfast followed by keynote presentation and break-out sessions
Midday: Special Louisville chef lunch, sponsored by Canadian Lentils
Afternoon: Breakout sessions
Evening: Awards, followed by a party
