Anonymous survey for educators on working conditions in Kentucky schools opens Wednesday

Runs through March 31

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 28, 2017) — Commissioner of Education Stephen Pruitt will kick off the 2017 Teaching, Empowering, Leading and Learning (TELL) Kentucky Survey on Wednesday, at 9 a.m. at Clear Creek Elementary School in Shelbyville.

The biennial survey, which runs through March 31, gives more than 50,000 school-based certified educators in the state the opportunity to provide anonymous feedback on the working conditions in Kentucky schools, which directly impact the learning conditions of students.

Any certified educator who meets the following criteria is invited to participate in the TELL Kentucky survey:

  • Is currently working in a Kentucky district school, state-operated program, or eligible facility
  • Is a certified teacher/educator (full and/or part-time)
  • Is a school principal, assistant principal, or other building-level administrator

The survey takes about 30 minutes to complete. Results will be available about five weeks after the survey closes. State results will be analyzed and reported in fall.
