Madisonville Community College offering mine certification training March 27-31

For new miners

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (March 2, 2017) — Madisonville Community College will offer the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) required Basic Mine Safety and Health Training for new miners with no mining experience for underground (40hr) operations from March 27-31. Classes will be daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“Mining is on the upswing with production in Western Kentucky,” said MCC Workforce Solutions Director Mike Davenport. “Workforce Solutions will be scheduling Initial Underground Certification Classes on a regular basis.”
