Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 2, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin has made appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions.

Kentucky Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education:

  • Carol Christian, of Lexington, is the director of Morehead State University’s Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Math. Christian will represent postsecondary education institutions. She will serve for a term expiring Dec. 15, 2019.
  • Brandy Carol Daniels, of Somerset, is a member of the Pulaski County Board of Education. Daniels will represent local board of education members. She will serve for a term expiring Dec. 15, 2019.
  • Dianne Burns Mackey, of Utica, is self-employed. Mackey will represent the private business sector. She will serve for a term expiring Dec. 15, 2019.

Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners:

  • Amanda Holmes Rowland, of Danville, is a veterinarian. Rowland will serve for a term expiring Sept. 28, 2020.
