Morehead State’s Purcell elected to National Association of Educational Procurement board

Will represent eight southeastern states

MOREHEAD, Ky. (April 4, 2017) — Morehead State University’s LaDonna Purcell, director of procurement services, has been elected to the National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP) Board of Directors.

NAEP is the nationwide organization focused exclusively on procurement in higher education. Purcell will serve as District lll Board Member, representing NAEP members in eight southeastern states.

A native of Mason County, Purcell received her associate’s and bachelor’s degrees from MSU and is a graduate of the President’s Leadership Academy. Purcell has completed 18 years in public procurement, all in higher education. She earned both the CPPB and CPPO certifications in 2013.

She currently serves on NAEP’s Professional Development and Program Committees, is a frequent presenter at the Association’s national and regional meetings, and serves as Secretary-Treasurer of NAEP’s Kentucky Region.

In January 2016 she was appointed to the UPPCC Board of Examiners for the CPPO Exam, representing NAEP.

In addition to serving NAEP, she currently sits on the Kentucky Public Procurement Association (KPPA) Board of Directors and is secretary for the Kentucky Educational Purchasing Cooperative (KEPC).
