Region 3, 4 winners announced for Lt. Gov.’s Entrepreneurship Challenge

Advance to state finals

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 12, 2017) — Winners of the region three and four competitions of the Lt. Gov.’s Entrepreneurship Challenge (LGEC) were announced today.

Winners at the region three competition at Georgetown College were Pulaski County’s Treetop Terrace, made up of students from Somerset Christian School and a local home school organization, and Zora, from Trinity Christian Academy in Fayette County.

Winners at the region four competition in Berea were Net Patcher, from the Kenton County Academies of Innovation and Technology, and Go! Energy LLC., from Simon Kenton High School.

Winners advance to the LGEC Finals, April 29 at the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics in Lexington. The 10 finalist teams will compete for $80,000 in scholarships. The top three teams will split the scholarship funding, which can be used at any post-secondary institution in Kentucky (e.g., four-year college, software bootcamp).
