NKU adding new Master of Business Administration program in fall

Designed for working professionals

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (April 19, 2017) — The Northern Kentucky University Haile/US Bank College of Business is launching a new Master of Business Administration (MBA) program this fall. The improved program is designed for working professionals to enhance their careers by utilizing new business topics in a fast-paced, customizable way.

next-logo-300x149“Our goal for the reformed program is to meet the needs of business professional where their career development occurs,” said Rebecca Porterfield, dean of the College of Business. “Whether seeking an MBA or providing needed knowledge for career succession, the program opens doorways for a student’s future.”

The new program includes two “stack” focus areas, which allow students to tailor their degree to personal interests and career paths. They will differentiate NKU’s MBA from regional competitors as they will evolve each semester to explore current topics and trends in the marketplace.

The hybrid MBA curriculum consists of 33 credit hours in sessions that last 5-6 weeks. Along with the new stack courses, students will take eight core business essential classes and a capstone experience that allows students to apply what they have learned in a student-designed team project with a local organization.
