Blue Grass Airport making changes to parking lots

Changes begin Monday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 19, 2017) — Effective May 22, Blue Grass Airport will combine its Short-Term and Long-Term lots into one Short-Term area and will designate the current Economy lot as Long-Term Parking.

This summer the airport will instal new electronic signage to indicate whether a lot is open or full and the number of spaces available on each level. To aid passengers in finding their vehicles, lots will include new row markers that are color-coded and include regionally inspired icons such as horses, bourbon barrels and basketballs.

The following parking options will be available May 22:

• Short-Term Parking ($14/day) — This parking area, located steps from the terminal, includes two surface lots and all three levels of the parking garage, providing many covered spaces that are protected from inclement weather and summer heat.
• Long-Term Parking ($10/day) — Formerly Economy Parking, this area is located immediately behind Short-Term Parking and access to the terminal.
• Park & Shuttle ($7/day or $42/week) — The Park & Shuttle requires payment by credit card.
• Valet Parking ($17/day) — Valet Parking provides curbside drop-off and pick-up as well as optional vehicle detailing services (additional charges apply).

Passengers with handicap parking permits may park in either the Short-Term or Long-Term lots and will only be charged the Long-Term rate the entire length of their stay. The airport will continue to offer 30 minutes of complimentary parking and a cell phone waiting area for customers coming to the airport to pick-up arriving passengers.
