LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 21, 2017) — Greater Louisville Inc. is offering a scholarship for the GLIDE 2017 trip to Nashville to give an engaged member of the Greater Louisville community the opportunity to participate in this exciting, innovative study mission. The application is open to professionals from across the region, from entrepreneurs to regional partners to the next generation professionals or individuals who want to make a difference in their community.
The scholarship is worth $2,000 towards the $2,700 registration fee. Applications are being accepted online now through July 14.
The recipient of the GLIDE 2017 scholarship will be chosen by an independent selection committee and announced on Aug. 4. Consideration will be given to applicants who exhibit leadership, community involvement, vision and need.
GLIDE 2017 will take place September 10-12. The trip is an opportunity for more than 125 of Louisville’s business, civic and community leaders to learn from and develop new strategies for success from the booming city of Nashville. GLIDE 2017’s focus will be on the unexpected reasons that Nashville is able to attract and retain talented professionals, generate hundreds of spin-off businesses, succeed as a top tourist destination, and embrace creativity to craft a vibrant, growing community.
Nashville was selected by last year’s GLIDE participants as the most-desired destination for the annual trip. Previous GLIDE destinations include Austin, Portland, Denver, Charlotte and Oklahoma City.
