MIDWAY, Ky. (June 21, 2017) — Midway University’s Athletics Department launched a redesigned website this week that includes a complete design makeover and new features. The site is hosted by SIDHelp, a division of Black Diamond Solutions, which also runs sites for other NAIA schools and for the River States Conference, of which Midway is a member.

“We realize that for many people, the first point of contact with Midway University is our website,” Athletic Director Rusty Kennedy said. “The new look will enhance the experience for our fans as well as give our programs a lift in recruiting.”

“We’ve made several key improvements with the new site and believe that it will be easier for our fans to navigate,” Kennedy said. “The schedule is much more prominent and we’ve really made an effort to highlight social and video content for our programs.”

A new feature on the redesigned website is the “recent recruits” banner. The banner shows the last five recruits to sign their letter of intent and links to an archive that will show all past recruits, allowing fans to get to know future Eagles before they arrive on campus.

“We not only needed to redesign the site for functionality, but also to better reflect our brand and athletics program,” noted Ellen Gregory, vice president, Marketing & Communications. “The previous website was designed when we were still Midway College. Although we did a quick update of the graphics when we changed to a university, we felt like we needed a fresh start since we transitioned to a full co-educational institution in fall 2016.”

The new website comes on the heels of Midway’s newly-refreshed athletics logo. The logo package features a new look to both the Eagle and the Midway ‘M’.

In addition to the website redesign, is a mobile app that fans can download. The app will soon be available for download in the iTunes store for Apple devices and on Google Play for Android devices. More information about the app will be released when the app is available.
