LOUISVILLE (July 19, 2017) – Industry leading publication Pollstar Magazine released its Mid-Year 2017 Top 200 arena rankings this week and AEG Facilities’ KFC Yum! Center is ranked 14th in the nation and 35th in the world for ticket sales by venue, having sold over 223,000 tickets* during the first half of 2017. AEG Facilities, the KFC Yum! Center’s management group, owns, operates or is affiliated with 20 of the top 100 arenas worldwide, including the No. 1 ranked The O2 in London.

The report does not include University of Louisville sporting events or the NCAA Division I Women’s Tournament games hosted at the venue during the first six months of 2017. The KFC Yum! Center hosted several sold out concerts this spring that contributed to the arena’s improved rankings. Roger Waters, Neil Diamond, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eric Church and Mumford & Sons were among the many concerts hosted in the second quarter of 2017.

Dennis Petrullo, General Manager of the KFC Yum! Center, attributes the success to the continued support from fans in Louisville and surrounding areas as well as the arena’s ability to attract a large number of fans from other regions.

“The first half of 2017 brought several huge events to the KFC Yum! Center, including Twenty-One Pilots, Mumford & Sons and Roger Waters, who combined drew more than half of their attendees from outside the Louisville region,” Petrullo said. “Top-notch talent continues to make the KFC Yum! Center a stop on their tours because not only do fans in Louisville continue to pack the house, but fans from surrounding cities like Lexington, Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Evansville regularly travel to Louisville for our shows.”

The KFC Yum! Center is excited for a strong slate of amazing shows in 2017, including Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga and Jason Aldean, among many others that are yet to be announced.
