FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 1, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointment to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:
Mary L. Varga has been appointed to the Kentucky Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund Board.
Mary L. Varga, of Louisville, is a fitness instructor and certified personal trainer. She will represent individuals with a brain injury. She will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2021.
The Kentucky Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund Board is charged with administering the traumatic brain injury trust fund created pursuant to KRS 211.476, to include formulating policies and procedures for determining individual eligibility for assistance from the trust fund in accordance with established guidelines. The trust fund serves as a funding source of last resort for residents of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. To be eligible for assistance from the trust fund, an individual must have exhausted all other funding sources that cover the type of services sought through the trust fund.
