LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 17, 2012) — Thomas Beisner will replace Matt Jones as the host of Kentucky Sports Television on cn|2.
Beisner will replace Matt Jones as host of Time Warner Cable’s show devoted to University of Kentucky athletics. Jones, who made a name for himself as the voice of UK sports on his website — kentuckysportsradio.com, was unable to reach a new contract with Time Warner after beginning the show two years ago, according to the Lexington Herald Leader.
Beisner, a 2006 UK graduate who worked with Jones on kentuckysportsradio.com and had worked for the cn|2 show in a variety of positions, had been filling in as host of the show since Jones’ departure.
Beisner is a perfect fit because he “translates his knowledge and passion for UK Athletics to viewers,” said Caroline Imler, director of broadcast operations for cn|2.
