Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Dec. 4, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

John Barry Coleman, R. Roland Case, Stephanie Letitia Kinney and W. Greg Harvey have been reappointed as Administrative Law Judges in the Department of Workers’ Claims. 

• Judge John Barry Coleman, of Pikeville, is currently an Administrative Law Judge for the Commonwealth. He will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2021.
• Judge R. Roland Case, of Pikeville, is currently an Administrative Law Judge for the Commonwealth. He will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2021.
• Judge Stephanie Letitia Kinney, of Louisville, is currently an Administrative Law Judge for the Commonwealth. She will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2021.
• Judge W. Greg Harvey, of Bowling Green, is currently an Administrative Law Judge for the Commonwealth. He will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2021.

Administrative Law Judges in the Department of Workers’ Claims conduct hearings, otherwise supervise the presentation of evidence and render final decisions, orders or awards regarding Kentucky workers’ compensation claims.

Michael Alvey has been reappointed to the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Board.

• Michael Alvey, of Owensboro, is currently an appellate Administrative Law Judge with the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Board. He has been reappointed as Board chairperson and will serve for a term expiring Jan. 5, 2022.

The Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Board is the first step in the appellate process in a workers’ compensation litigated claim in the Commonwealth.

William Keith Doelker, James William Gibson, James K. Piper Jr. and Sherry Diann Redmon have been appointed to the Housing, Buildings and Construction Advisory Committee. 

• William Keith Doelker, of LaGrange, is a homebuilder and developer. He will represent experience in the housing, building or construction industry and serve for a term expiring Nov. 30, 2020.
• James William Gibson, of Benton, is a plumber. He will represent licensed plumbers and serve for a term expiring Nov. 30, 2020.
• James K. Piper Jr., of Lexington, is an architect. He will represent licensed architects and serve for a term expiring Nov. 30, 2020.
• Sherry Diann Redmon, of Russell Springs, is a mobile home retailer. She will represent mobile home installers and serve for a term expiring Nov. 30, 2020.

The Housing, Buildings and Construction Advisory Committee oversees statewide standards across all sectors of Kentucky’s building construction industry.
