LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 9, 2018) – Parking at Blue Grass Airport has now been made simple with a new convenient pay by phone parking app. The airport and its parking concessionaire—Republic Parking—have partnered to offer passengers use of Arrivio, a mobile app that allows drivers to park and pay all within the app without even having to roll down the window of their car.
Available for both Apple and Android users, this new parking app allows passengers to scan a QR code at any of the parking lot entrances and then again at any of the exit gates. Upon exiting, a parking fee will be applied to the passenger’s credit card and a receipt is automatically emailed.
“We are excited to offer this convenience to our travelers,” said Eric Frankl, executive director at Blue Grass Airport. “Our passengers are focused on their travel experience and want parking to be simple.”
This new app will allow passengers to park and pay via their mobile phone and then quickly leave the airport to return home. Users can download this app in their phone’s app store or online at arriv.io prior to entering the airport parking areas. Once their account is set up with a registered credit card, passengers can begin using this service. The app can be used in Blue Grass Airport’s Short-Term, Long-Term and Park & Shuttle lots. A transaction fee of $1.25 per visit will apply for the convenience of this easy in-and-out parking.
For those parking users who prefer paying at the cashier or credit card machines, those payment options will continue to be offered. The airport accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Parking rates continue to remain the same: $14/day (Short-Term), $10/day (Long-Term), $7/day (Park & Shuttle) and $17/day (Valet).
