Strange is president of Advanced Electrical Systems, Inc, a full-service industrial and commercial electrical contracting and engineering firm and currently serves on the Metro Chamber’s Greater Louisville Inc. Executive Committee.

Nichols was appointed to the Board in 1992, and served as chairman from 2004 until November 2009. He was an early and ardent supporter of the Louisville Airport Improvement Program.

Chairman of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority Board Phil Lynch noted, “J.D.’s knowledge of and passion for aviation and his vision for our community’s future were catalysts that led to the creation of today’s airport.”

Skip Miller, executive director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority said, “Our airport certainly wouldn’t be the 3rd largest cargo airport in North America nor one of this community’s major economic engines without J.D.’s determination to construct the parallel runway system envisioned as part of the LAIP. The airport will be a lasting testament to this vision and service.”

Nichols is chairman of the board of NTS Corp., a real estate development and management company with commercial, residential and multifamily holdings nationwide.
