The University of Kentucky has unveiled plans to sponsor a new resort-style retirement community near Lexington. The 89-acre Limestone Crossing development will be located just across the Fayette/Jessamine County line and will offer multiple levels of assisted and long-term care “at a significant discount to market rates.” The new community will accommodate approximately 500 people and will be open to those with or without ties to UK. Limestone Crossing will be developed and managed by Florida-based PRAXEIS, LLC and is expected to open in early 2012.
