NKY Chamber of Commerce to host workshop on the impact of online reviews

FORT MITCHELL, Ky. – With the prevalence of reviews on sites like Yelp, Google, and even Facebook, potential customers are doing research and making purchasing decisions before ever connecting with a business. To help businesses navigate the world of online reviews, the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is holding Sales Essential Series: Positive and Negative Online Reviews and How They Affect Your Business on Tuesday, September 25.

The workshop, led by Zach Ball from Buzz Media, will teach attendees how to manage reviews and how to generate more reviews from customers. With more than 80 percent of consumers using reviews to make their buying decisions and refer business, it’s imperative that companies monitor their online reputation.

“A bad review online can make or break a restaurant or retailer,” said Debby Shipp, vice president International Affairs and Business Growth at the NKY Chamber. “Customer referrals used to come from in person “word of mouth” recommendations, but now potential customers can go online to learn about your business through reviews. This session will help you deal with the online reviews you don’t want and help you get the most out of the good online reviews you work so hard for.”

Sales Essential Series: Positive and Negative Online Reviews and How They Affect Your Business runs from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (300 Buttermilk Pike, Suite 330, Ft. Mitchell, Ky. 41017). Registration is $15 for NKY Chamber members, $35 for future members.
