Doe-Anderson is moving headquarters

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One of the country’s most storied and experienced marketing firms is moving its Louisville headquarters. And in a way, it’s headed back home. Doe-Anderson will be leaving its West Main Street location of the past 26 years and relocating to the corner of Fourth and Broadway on the footprint where the Commonwealth Building once stood, which was the agency’s home from 1936 to 1972.

The move is far more than a nod to nostalgia, however.

“As we’ve grown in recent years and added more capabilities to our services, our staff has been working in more collaborative and cross-disciplinary ways than ever before,” said Doe-Anderson CEO Todd Spencer. “But the layout of our current building created challenges for all those different skill sets to feel like a cohesive team, scattered among four different floors. So, we’ve found a dynamic new space that will make it easier for us to conceive and deliver the comprehensive marketing solutions our clients demand and deserve.”

The agency is moving to 680 South Fourth Street into one expansive floor of a two-year-old building that’s part of the Kindred Healthcare complex, directly across Fourth Street from the Brown Hotel. As the firm was searching for the right location, its leaders were impressed not only with the physical attributes of the building but also with the neighborhood.

“First and foremost we needed an office space that met the need for our teams to have better access to each other, upgraded technology and the IT infrastructure to support that,” said Spencer. “What helped seal the deal were the extra amenities in the building as well as the restaurants, major hotels, theatres, and parking nearby.”

The building includes a gym, game room, multiple conference rooms, a 300-seat auditorium, restaurants and a secure courtyard.

The agency expects to move early in 2020.
