Central Bank & Trust Co. in Lexington has announced the following appointments: Mark Kaufmann – senior vice president and manager, commercial lending; Maggie Abney – vice president, corporate services; Tracy Reid – vice president, corporate services; Brian West – vice president, mortgage; Jennifer Baldwin – assistant vice president, retail banking officer, Georgetown; Chris Campbell – assistant vice president, corporate services; Stephen Mallory – assistant vice president, commercial lending; James Nall – assistant vice president, funds management; and Becky Mullins – special assets officer.

EDUCATION

Rebecca Volpe has been named director of the Northern Kentucky University Small Business Development Center.

Michael Ramage has joined Murray State University’s Center for Telecommunications Systems Management as associate director.

Louisville-based Brown-Forman has announced the following appointments: Eric Weissinger – director of design strategy; Cindy Seiler Reichert – director of production design; Jeff Cole – director of digital marketing for Jack Daniel’s family of brands.

GOVERNMENT

Larry Bond has been appointed to serve as chief of staff for Gov. Steve Beshear.

Dr. Greg Wanger will become the new Western Kentucky medical examiner effective Jan. 1, 2013. Wanger is currently with the Northern Kentucky medical examiner office.

Teresa James has been named commissioner of the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services.

HEALTHCARE

Michael Hough has joined Louisville-based ResCare as executive vice president of the workforce services segment.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Todd T. Stone has been named chief operations officer for Louisville-based Warren Technology Inc.

INSURANCE

Dave Metzgar has been named director of support services for Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation.

LEGAL

Clay B. Wortham has joined the Lexington-based firm of McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland.

MEDIA

Cathryn Gibson has joined LM Communications Broadcasting Group in Lexington as vice president of public relations and business development.

Linda Danna has been named president and general manager of WHAS-TV in Louisville.

TRANSPORTATION

Nathan Henderson has been promoted to vice president of strategic sales and marketing for Nicholasville-based R. J. Corman Railroad Group.

Steve Petty has been named deputy executive director of operations for the Louisville Regional Airport Authority.

OTHER

The YMCA of Central Kentucky has announced the following appointments: Brenda Blakovich – vice president of financial development; George Stafford – director of annual giving; and Susie Hillard Bullock – director of annual giving, Beaumont Centre Family YMCA.

Brian Clark has been named executive director of the Kentucky Petroleum Marketers Association. Anne Sabatino Hardy has joined the organization as marketing and membership manager.

Michael Cornett has joined Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program Inc. as director of agency expansion and public relations.

Angela Baldridge has joined Lexington business support services company The Plantory as executive director.

Wright Steenrod has been named a partner in Louisville-based venture-capital firm Chrysalis Ventures.
