Governor makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

David Franklin has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Boxing & Wrestling Commission.

  • Franklin, of Versailles, is an attorney at Franklin & Rapp. Franklin will serve for a term expiring May 16, 2024.

James Mooneyhan, Currie Milliken and Cody Pruitt have been appointed as members of the Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College Nominating Commission.

  • Mooneyhan, of Franklin, is a consultant for the Simpson County jailer. Mooneyhan will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2023.
  • Milliken, of Bowling Green, is an attorney at Milliken Law Firm. Milliken will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2024.
  • Pruitt, of Bowling Green, is a political consultant. Pruitt will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2024.

William Harned and Beth Williams have been appointed as members of the Forestry Best Management Practices Board.

  • Harned, of Lebanon Junction, is a land surveyor and farmer. Harned will serve for a term expiring April 22, 2025.
  • Williams, of Rogers, is a forest ranger technician for the Kentucky Division of Forestry. Williams will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 22, 2023.

J.P. Davis has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Center for the Arts Corporation.

  • Davis, of Louisville, is the founder of J.P. Davis Partners. Davis will serve for a term expiring on April 29, 2025.

Jeffrey Hoover and Gary Robertson have been appointed as members of the Kentucky State Board on Electric Generation and Transmission Siting.

  • Hoover, of Jamestown, is an attorney at Hoover and Hurt Law Office. He will represent the citizens of Russell County.
  • Robinson, of Jamestown, serves as judge executive for Russell County.

Kimberly Smith and Jeroyd Evans have been appointed as members of the Kentucky Board of Ophthalmic Dispensers.

  • Smith,of Danville, is an optometrist at Danville Eye Center. Smith will serve for a term expiring on Jan. 10, 2025.
  • Evans, of Lebanon, is retired. Evans will serve for a term expiring on Jan. 10, 2025.
