BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announced the addition of Lauren Guess as the team’s new communications director. As a Bowling Green native with more than seven years of experience in the communication field, Guess has extensive knowledge of leading and supporting local and national projects in non-profit, hospitality and QSR disciplines, among others.“I feel incredibly lucky to use my skills to benefit the place I’ve always called home,” said Guess. “I will be the first to tell you how amazing Bowling Green is; now, doing so is my profession. I can’t wait to assist this amazing CVB team in continuing to show the world everything the city offers as a travel and leisure destination.”After graduating from the University of Louisville in 2015, Guess spent several years in Louisville, gaining public relations experience in different agency settings. She last served as a senior public relations and social media specialist for Louisville marketing agency PriceWeber. Guess has supported various important local and state-wide initiatives for Kentucky throughout her career. Some examples include promoting the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in 2019 and Cirque Du Soleil’s Louisville tour in 2018. Recently, Guess also helped Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) launch their state-wide awareness campaign, “Save My Human,” to promote organ donation throughout the Commonwealth.Guess will direct the local, regional and national public relations and social media efforts for the bureau while continuing to collaborate with internal and external partners, ensuring consistent branding and messaging regarding selling and promoting the destination.Named one of the South’s best cities by Southern Living in 2022, Kentucky’s third-largest city continues to surprise and captivate visitors from across the world.
