University of Kentucky to raise tuition 3 percent

UKLower rate than in previous years

LEXINGTON Ky. (March 16, 2015) — The University of Kentucky Board of Trustees Monday approved a tuition and mandatory fee proposal of 3 percent, or $158 per semester, bringing Kentucky first-year tuition to $10,780.

That tuition level will bring the average rate of increase for the last four years to 4.25 percent—well below the more than 10 percent rolling average annual increases of 2005 to 2008.
