UofL selected for ESPN’s GameDay broadcast on Saturday

No. 10 Cardinals host No. 2 FSU

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 13, 2016) — ESPN has selected the University of Louisville for this week’s ESPN GameDay broadcast. The pre-game broadcast, which will be making its first stop at UofL, will air from 9 a.m. to noon, leading up to No. 10 Louisville’s noon game against No. 2 Florida State.

GameDay-Photo-660x400The GameDay set will be located outside the Northeast corner of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. The first two hours will be staged from the outside of the stadium, moving inside for the final hour.

The six-time Emmy Award-winning show  is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack, as well as contributors Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, Jen Lada, Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi, George Whitfield and Gene Wojciechowski.

Corso, a graduate of Florida State, coached Louisville from 1969-72. He held a 28-11-3 mark in his four years, including a 9-1 record in his final year.

Chris Fowler, Herbstreit and Ponder will stay on site to call the Louisville-Florida State game. The game can also be seen on ABC.
