Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Appointed the Honorable Josephine Buckner to the vacancy in the office of District Judge, Division 12, for the 30th Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.

Appointed Eammon FitzGerald, Ashley Parrott, Laura Tipton, Amber Zambrano, Jennifer Washburn, Thomas Poland, and Charla Heersche as members of the Kentucky Child Care Advisory Council. Gov. Beshear has also reappointed Amy Hood, Sandra Woodall, and Patricia Porter.

  • Eamonn FitzGerald of Lexington is the Early Childhood Family/Community Liaison at Fayette County Public Schools. He replaces April Glover, whose term has expired. Mr. FitzGerald shall serve for a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Ashley Parrott of Louisville is a program officer at the James Graham Brown Foundation. She replaces Erica Vaught, whose term has expired. Mrs. Parrott shall serve a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Laura Tipton of Lexington is an attorney for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She replaces Zachary Smith, whose term has expired. Mrs. Tipton shall serve a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Amber Zambrano of Louisville is the preschool director at Sproutlings Pediatric Daycare and Preschool. She replaces Twylynn Edwards, whose term has expired. Mrs. Zambrano shall serve for a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Jennifer Washburn of Benton is the executive director and owner of iKids Childhood Enrichment Center. She replaces Brenda Brunner, whose term has expired. Mrs. Washburn shall serve for a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Thomas Poland of Danville is retired. He replaces Laura Glover, whose term has expired. Mr. Poland shall serve for a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Charla Heersche of Lexington is the learning center director at Faith Lutheran Church. She replaces Anne Smart, whose term has expired. Ms. Heersche shall serve a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Amy Hood of Morgantown is an early childhood specialist at Western Kentucky University. Dr. Hood shall serve for a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Sandra Woodall of Independence is a team lead at 4 C for Children. Mrs. Woodall shall serve a term expiring June 24, 2024.
  • Patricia Porter of Radcliff is a certified home child care provider. Mrs. Porter shall serve a term expiring June 24, 2024.

Reappointed David Allgood and Paul Hitchcock as members of the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities.

  • David Allgood of Louisville is the director of advocacy at the Center for Accessible Living. Mr. Allgood shall serve for a term expiring July 16, 2024.
  • Paul Hitchcock of Morehead is the general manager at Morehead State Public Radio. Mr. Hitchcock shall serve for a term expiring July 16, 2024.

Appointed Pat Abell as a member of the Capital Planning Advisory Board. Gov. Beshear has also reappointed Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman.

  • Pat Abell of Frankfort is retired. He replaces John Hodgson, whose term has expired. Mr. Abell shall serve for a term expiring March 30, 2025.
  • Jacqueline Coleman of Frankfort is Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. Lt. Gov. Coleman shall serve for a term expiring March 30, 2025.

Appointed Amy Leenerts, Bissell Roberts, and Lanola Parsons as members of the Crime Victims Compensation Board. Gov. Beshear has also appointed Lanola Parsons to serve as Chair of the Board.

  • Amy Leenerts of Louisville is the executive director at Free2Hope. Mrs. Leenerts shall serve for a term expiring July 1, 2023.
  • J. Bissell Roberts of Prospect is an attorney at Bardenwerper, Talbott, & Roberts, PLLC. Mr. Roberts shall serve for a term expiring July 1, 2024.
  • Lanola Parsons of Baxter is the owner of Cumberland Jewelry & Pawn. Mrs. Parsons shall serve for a term expiring July 1, 2025.

Reappointed Justin Biliter, Julie Ross, Ernest Thacker, and Sheri Uhlenbruch as members of the Kentucky Geological Survey Advisory Board.

  • Justin Biliter of Nicholasville is a geologist at Alliance Coal, LLC. Mr. Biliter shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2024.
  • Julie Ross of Versailles is the senior geologist at Thoroughbred Engineering. Ms. Ross shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2024.
  • Ernest Thacker of Nicholasville is vice president of engineering and geology at Alliance Coal, LLC. Mr. Thacker shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2024.
  • Sheri Uhlenbruch of Lexington is an environmental scientist consultant at the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection. Mrs. Uhlenbruch shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2024.

Appointed Sherri McDaniel and Bryan Miles as members of the Waste Tire Working Group.

  • Sherri McDaniel of Versailles is the director of the Solid Waste and Recycling Center at Woodford County Fiscal Court. She replaces Ronald Scott Tussey, who resigned and the term subsequently expired. Mrs. McDaniel shall serve for a term expiring Aug. 1, 2024.
  • Bryan Miles of Eastview is the director of Solid Waste Coordinators at Grant County Fiscal Court. Mr. Miles shall serve for a term expiring Aug. 1, 2024.
