LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 17, 2018) –  Recent FDA studies have revealed large inconsistencies in label claims of cannabidiol products sold online, in an article published by Lift News. Speaking from the NoCo Hemp Expo in Loveland, Co., hemp professionals Annie Rouse and Jason Amatucci announced the launch of Lexington, Ky., based online retailer, Anavii Market, that performs third-party verification on hemp-derived CBD extracts and other domestically sourced industrial hemp-based products.

“Consumers want and deserve quality and consistency in hemp products and in a rapidly growing market, that’s often hard to find,” said Annie Rouse, a U.S. Fulbright Scholar with an MBA and MA in International Environmental Policy, who has been involved in the hemp industry for a decade.  “We founded Anavii Market to ensure hemp derived products we offer have been tested by a third-party lab using acceptable methodologies.  Without accurate labeling, backed by independent laboratory verification, consumers can’t be confident what they are getting.”

Rouse and Amatucci, natives of Kentucky and Virginia, respectively, have led successful educational and legislative initiatives in their states since the passage of the 2014 Farm Bill, and are well known in the industry.  Now, with the Hemp Farming Act in US Congress promising to legalize hemp as a commodity, they promote quality and consistency as imperatives to their marketplace.

“Kentucky and Virginia both have a rich hemp history with strong legislative support for growing their hemp markets,” said Anavii Market partner Jason Amatucci, the Founder and CEO of the Virginia Industrial Hemp Coalition. “We see great potential for this environmentally beneficial rotation crop to create rural economic development and in turn create new retail opportunities,” he said.  “The vision for our company is for it to be centered in ‘conscious capitalism,’ offering consumers verified and trusted, domestically sourced hemp products.”

Anavii Market contracts with third-party verification laboratories to ensure quality, consistency and accurate labeling in the burgeoning hemp industry.
