MCM moving accounting services team to southern Indiana offfice

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (Nov. 5, 2013) — Mountjoy Chilton Medley (MCM), the largest full-service accounting firm based in Kentucky, is moving its accounting services team from Louisville to southern Indiana.

The move adds 20 employees to MCM’s growing Jeffersonville office and increases MCM’s capacity in Indiana, especially on the accounting services side of the business.

Previously, MCM employed about 50 people in the McCauley Nicolas Centre on North Shore Drive. The additional 20 employees represent a 40-percent increase in staffing for that office.

MCM’s accounting services team serves as an outsourced accounting team for small and mid-sized businesses, typically providing bookkeeping, payroll processing/calculations, cash management and general day-to-day accounting services for clients.

Diane Medley, MCM’s co-managing partner, said the move will greatly benefit emerging businesses in Southern Indiana.

“We strongly believe that southern Indiana is poised for significant economic growth, especially in the small to mid-size business market, so we’re devoting more resources to enhance that growth,” she said.

MCM Partner Ron Barnes, CPA, Director of the Southern Indiana location, said MCM clients “will see the added value this brings to the services we provide them.”

MCM began operating in Indiana in late 2012, after a merger with McCauley Nicolas CPAs & Advisors, a well-established southern Indiana CPA firm. Employing more than 130 CPAs, MCM is the largest full-service accounting firm based in Kentuckiana. Recently, MCM was ranked by Accounting Today’s Top 100 as the 82nd largest accounting firm in the United States, based on net revenue.
