Louisville launches tourism campaign

South Points Scenic Area promotes Southwest Louisville

(March 30, 2015) — A new campaign to encourage visitors and residents to explore 24 cultural, recreational and entertainment attractions in Southwest Louisville was launched today by Mayor Greg Fischer, Southwest Louisville Metro Council members, the Southwest Dream Team and project supporters. The attractions will collectively be known as the South Points Scenic Area.

“South Points Scenic Area possesses some of the most beautiful scenery and popular attractions in our region,” Fischer said. “It is has a rich natural, historical and cultural legacy that draws nearly 1.4 million visitors yearly.”

Four signs along Kentucky interstates and 52 signs along main thoroughfares will have the South Points Scenic Area logo, while the South Points Scenic Area locator map will be placed at visitor information centers and area attractions.
