FORT WAYNE, Ind. (May 17, 2012) — The College of Professional Studies at Indiana Tech has expanded by opening a new campus in Northern Kentucky, its second location outside of Indiana. The university opened a campus in Louisville in October 2011.
The Northern Kentucky location is about 11,000 square feet and features eight classrooms, a library, a computer lab, a student lounge, and wireless connectivity throughout the facility. Classes are forming now with admissions representatives enrolling for online or on-ground courses.
“We’re looking forward to serving the Northern Kentucky community,” said Steve Herendeen, vice president of CPS. “Our programs are ideal for adults who want to improve their career prospects through education.”
A grand opening celebration for the new location will be scheduled for later in the summer.
The College of Professional Studies offers undergraduate and graduate programs in an accelerated format. The program is designed to accommodate nontraditional students who also have to balance work, family, and community responsibilities. Classes meet one evening per week for five weeks at the undergraduate level and six weeks at the graduate level. Online classes also span just five weeks or six weeks, but allow students to access materials and complete coursework anytime, anywhere they have broadband Internet access. Textbooks, which are included in the cost of tuition, are shipped to students prior to the start of each class.
