FRANKFORT, Ky. — Personnel Cabinet Secretary Thomas B. Stephens announced today the appointment of Katherine Kington North to the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet. North will serve as the public information officer for the cabinet.
“We are excited to have Katherine join the team. Her experience both in news and public relations will be a valuable asset for both our internal and external communications,” Secretary Stephens stated.
North most recently worked at RunSwitch Public Relations in Louisville and served as a spokesperson for the 144th Oaks and Kentucky Derby. Bringing with her nearly a decade of experience as a television journalist, North was an anchor and reporter for the NBC affiliate WAVE 3-TV in Louisville.
“I am thrilled to be able to serve this great state as executive director of the Office of Public Affairs and I look forward to promoting and enhancing the incredible benefits offered to Kentucky’s state employees,” North said. “Thank you to Governor Bevin and Secretary Stephens for this opportunity.”
North, a Louisville native, attended Auburn University.
