BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced yesterday that the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce has been reaccredited as a 5-Star Chamber. This places the Chamber among the 1 percent of Chambers of Commerce in the United States who have reached the highest level of accreditation, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Bowling Green Area Chamber has maintained a high standard of excellence achieving accreditation without a lapse since 1973.
The accreditation process is a comprehensive examination of every aspect of a Chamber’s operations, including governance, finance, human resources, government affairs, program development, technology, communications, facilities, and benchmarking.
“The reaccreditation process is meticulous. Every 5 years, the U.S. Chamber looks at our operations from every angle. I am very proud of our team for their continued hard work and dedication as we uphold the highest standards as an organization of excellence,” said Maureen Carpenter, vice president of Partnership Services.

This announcement comes on the heels of a banner year for the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, with prestigious national awards and rankings including two Excellence Awards by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives and the top ranking in Site Selection‘s Top 10 Metro Areas for New and Expanded Facilities in 2018, among others.
