PACIFIC OCEAN (May 24, 2019) — (L to R) Cryptologic Technician (Technical) 3rd Class Kristoffer Vergara, of Los Angeles, and Cryptologic Technician (Technical) 2nd Class Travis Rogers, of Versailles, Ky., prepare to launch a Nixie torpedo countermeasure system aboard the Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry.
Harpers Ferry is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit team and is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
