JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — Clark Memorial Health announced Tuesday that in July Dr. Faraaz Rahman interventional and structural cardiologist is joining the Clark Medical Group practice Clark Cardiology.
He will practice with Dr. Juan Ortiz and Dr. Zaka Rahman and will see patients in Jeffersonville, Sellersburg and Scottsburg.
Jeffersonville native, Dr. Rahman obtained his medical degree from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2011 and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
He went on to complete three subspecialty fellowships. Dr. Rahman has a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship from Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center/Milwaukee Heart Institute in Wisconsin, an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and a Structural Heart and Transcatheter Valve Intervention Fellowship from Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic School of Medicine in Roanoke, VA. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
“I look forward to working with patients and making an impact in their lives,” says Rahman. “In addition to being an interventional cardiologist, I am adding a unique service to the existing Clark Cardiology practice and to southern Indiana. I am trained in structural heart and valve disease and will replace heart valves using a minimally invasive procedure with catheters.”
