Lt. Gov. Coleman announces birth of baby girl

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman and her husband Chris O’Bryan announced Saturday, Feb. 8, at 9:40 a.m., the birth of Evelynne Jeanette Coleman-O’Bryan. She weighed 6.7 pounds and is 18¾ inches long.

Both Evelynne and the lieutenant governor are in good health and resting well, according to the governor’s office.

“Chris, Emma, Will, Nate and I are so excited to welcome Evelynne into our family and embark on this new adventure. We are thankful for the thoughts, well wishes and prayers of so many Kentuckians during my pregnancy,” said Coleman.

Coleman is the first lieutenant governor in Kentucky’s history to welcome a child while in office.

Coleman is married to Chris O’Bryan, boys’ head basketball coach at Frankfort High School.
