LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky American Water has announced the appointment of Ryan Bethel as manager of compliance for Kentucky American Water and Tennessee American Water.
Bethel will oversee the day-to-day implementation and performance of the compliance program for both states, including compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Bethel most recently served as an ergonomic engineering consultant with Humantech Inc. and has spent time as a corporate safety specialist with Toyota Tsusho America Inc.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and human performance from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2004 and a Master of Science in safety, security and emergency management degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 2012.
Bethel was born and raised in Lexington, Ky., and continues to reside in Lexington with his wife and young son.
