National Data Questing, a market research data collection/tabulation firm headquartered in Madisonville, has been purchased by its senior management team and is now operating as Thoroughbred Opinion Research. Thoroughbred’s services include three telephone interviewing facilities, Spanish language interviewing capabilities, a permanent mall facility and access to Thoroughbred’s secure Web reporting, where clients can observe daily the progress of their research projects. In addition to its Madisonville facility, the company also has locations in Henderson and Hopkinsville.
Ruby Concrete is expanding its operations in Madisonville with the construction of a new $4.5 million plant. The new facility will enable Ruby to accommodate new product lines and new equipment to produce its current lines more quickly. Ruby, which has been in business since 1869, specializes in concrete block, brick, retaining walls, masonry products and other building supplies. Construction on the new plant is expected to begin this spring.
