LOUISVILLE, Ky. (February 18, 2013) – A two-mile section of the Louisville Loop in southwestern Jefferson County will be closed for up to two weeks beginning today.

The closure is a public safety precaution to accommodate transmission line work related to the construction of LG&E’s new 640-megawatt natural gas combined cycle unit at 5252 Cane Run Road.

The segment closure begins on Lees Lane, just before the Loop’s mile marker 14.5, and extends to just south of Lower Hunters Trace, near mile marker 16.5.

It will reopen upon completion of the electrical work, anticipated no later than March 4.
