FRANKFORT, Ky. (May 6, 2014) – Attorney General Jack Conway announced today he is running for governor of Kentucky. His running mate for lieutenant governor is State Rep. Sannie Overly from Bourbon County. The Conway-Overly for Kentucky ticket made the announcement in a video released this morning, in which they outline basic tenants of their platform to make Kentucky a better place to live, work and raise a family.

“As a father, every day I am reminded that building the best future possible must be our life’s work – not only for our children, but for everyone,” Conway said. He will focus on making early childhood education and higher education more accessible to Kentucky families, create a more business-friendly commonwealth, protect Kentucky’s energy sources and build infrastructure across our state to help create more jobs and opportunities for all Kentuckians, he said.
