UofL Homecoming parade to cause street closures

Parade begins at 6 p.m. on Friday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 16, 2014) — The University of Louisville Homecoming parade on Friday will cause some street closures and parking lot closures between 5:30-6:45 p.m. The parade begins at 6 p.m.

Homecoming parade parking:

• Parking Lot Closures: Kurz Hall parking lot (closed all day Oct. 17); Speed School blue parking lot (access restricted after 5:30 p.m.)
• Street Closures (from 5:30-6:45 p.m.): Streets will begin closing at 5:30 p.m. for the 6 p.m. parade: 3^rd Street from Bloom Street to Winkler Avenue; Cardinal Blvd from 4^th Street to 2^nd Street; Eastern Parkway from 3^rd Street to Hahn Street
• Parade Parking: Parade spectators without a UofL Belknap parking pass are welcome to park at one of the following areas free of charge: 3^rd Street Staff Lot (adjacent to PNC Bank at 1900 S. Third St., 40208)
• Back of the Chevron Lot; 3^rd street parking lot, directly south of Eastern Parkway; Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium Bronze Lots D, E, and J; Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium Platinum Lot S
• TARC Advisory: TARC routes #90 and #94 will be detoured to 4^th Street while 3^rd Street is closed.
