VisitLEX took home the Most Innovative Award for its #ShareTheLEX campaign, which was designed to encourage Lexingtonians to share what they love about the city with visitors through an interactive and multi-pronged effort.
It also won four gold awards for its #ShareTheLEX campaign, #ShareTheLEX video, visitors guide and artistic collaborative T-shirt series.
In addition, VisitLEX won five silver awards for a local ad marketing campaign, website, specialty items, promotional video and Bluegrass Trail. A bronze award also was given for the Blue Horse Heads, which were custom blue rubber horse head masks based on a famous painting of “Big Lex” by equine artist Edward Troye.
“Our ultimate goal is always to increase economic development and quality of life by enhancing the Lexington experience for visitors and residents alike,” said Mary Quinn Ramer, interim co-director of VisitLEX. “We continually look for new ways to engage people, and these are some of the many effective tools VisitLEX has created in the last year. We are honored to be recognized by national experts in the tourism industry.”
All of the campaigns and materials were done in conjunction with Cornett Integrated Marketing Solutions, VisitLEX’s agency of record.
