This week, members of Commerce Lexington, the Greater Lexington Chamber of Commerce, are making business connections in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Dubai.

As part of what Commerce Lexington calls its Wonders of Dubai tour, Lexington area business people are touring the largest and most dynamic economy in the MENA (Middle East – North Africa) region.

Earlier today, members toured businesses and cultural locations in Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital city. The facilities at Port Zayed in Abu Dhabi were visited by Commerce Lexington representatives this morning.

These included state-of-the-art freight facilities for trans-ocean shipping, as well as more traditional wooden dhows, which constitute most of the United Arab Emirates commercial fishing fleet.
