Website launched to promote culinary tourism in Kentucky

Created by Kentucky Department of Travel and Tourism

UnknownLEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 22, 2014) — The Kentucky Department of Travel and Tourism has created a website to promote culinary tourism in the commonwealth.

Culinary efforts began in July, when 47 food destinations in Eastern Kentucky were recognized in the national map-guide, Bon Appétit Appalachia. The map-guide was developed by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to showcase Appalachia’s distinctive food destinations.

KentuckyCuisine.com is a statewide resource that offers visitors a chance to explore local restaurants, farms, farmer’s markets, breweries, wineries, culinary trails, events and recipes specific to Kentucky. Local chef highlights and videos will also be featured on the website, offering users an inside look from the experts.
