Centre College, EKU gubernatorial debates to be aired live on television, radio

Candidates to be in Danville on Oct. 6, Richmond Oct. 25

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 9, 2015) — Republican Matt Bevin and Democrat Jack Conway will participate in six forums leading up to the Nov. 3 election for governor, including debates on Oct. 6 at Centre College in Danville and Oct. 25 at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.

The Centre debate will be moderated by Scott Reynolds, news anchor at WAVE 3 in Louisville.

Stations currently committed to carry the debate live are:

  • WAVE 3 News (Louisville)
  • WHAS-AM (Louisville)
  • WLEX-TV (Lexington)
  • WXIX-TV (Cincinnati/Northern Ky.)
  • WSAZ-TV (Huntington)
  • WFIE-TV (Owensboro/Henderson)
  • WQWQ-TV (Paducah/Cape Girardeau)

The EKU debate will be moderated by Vicki Dortch, of WLKY in Louisville, and Bill Bryant, of WKYT in Lexington. The debate, scheduled from 6-7 p.m., will be at the EKU Center for the Arts.

In addition to WKYT and WLKY, the debate is being organized by WYMT (Hazard), WSAZ (Huntington), WBKO (Bowling Green), WLWT (Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky) and WPSD (Paducah).
