Two attorneys join Lexington practice

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 30, 2012) — Thomas D. Flanigan has joined McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland, PLLC as a partner.

Flanigan focuses his practice on corporate and business law, entrepreneurial business, mergers and acquisitions, and lending and commercial services.

H. Trigg Mitchell has joined the firm as a senior associate. He focuses his practice on corporate and transactional, estate and trust, commercial finance and taxation.

Both will practice in the firm’s Lexington office.

 Louisville company hires two, promotes two

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 30, 2012) — Charah Inc., a provider of combustion product management and power plant support services for the coal-fired electric utility industry, announced today the hire and promotion of four employees.

Jason Sharpe was named vice president of operations and Brian Himes was hired as business development manager. Nathan Boone was promoted to senior vice president of business development, while Scott Sewell to was named senior vice president of operations.

Sharpe is responsible for managing site operations, including job planning, employee relations, equipment issues and P&L performance. Most recently, Sharpe was vice president of a leading ENR TOP 400 contractor focusing on heavy highway construction, FNF Construction Inc., with the responsibility for their New Mexico construction operations.

Himes is responsible for project estimating and proposal preparation. He has more than 20 years of experience in construction management and estimating, most recently with Gulf Stream Construction in Charleston, S.C., where he worked primarily on DOT projects and the building of large, recreational facilities.

Boone has worked for Charah since 1997, holding multiple management positions since 2000, most recently as vice president of business development. He is responsible for Charah’s business development efforts, including the estimating and design of all new projects

Sewell joined Charah in early 2008, later served as operations manager and was promoted to vice president of operations in 2009. Prior to joining Charah, he was project manager for Bechtel Corporation from 2002-2007.
