Taylor named to Bank of the Bluegrass board of directors

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 10, 2012) — Fran Taylor has been named to the advisory board of director members of Bank of the Bluegrass & Trust Co.

Taylor joined philanthropic consulting firm My Giving Advisor, LLC (MGA) as a principal in 2011. At MGA, she specializes in corporate sponsorship and corporate philanthropy; strategic partnerships; community engagement; and market development. Taylor retired as executive director for the Keeneland Association in 2011 after 15 years with the internationally known Thoroughbred racing and auction sales company.

While at Keeneland, she orchestrated disaster relief efforts and corporate partnerships to net more than $10 million in outside funding for various nonprofit agencies and managed, then supervised, the corporate race sponsorship program as it grew to gross over $2 million annually.

Before coming to Keeneland, Taylor was vice-president of account services for Meridian Communications (1982-1995) where she specialized in destination marketing, corporate image assessment and repositioning strategies for a diverse client mix. Her clients won over 30 regional, national and international awards.

Winner of the 2010 Independent Book Publisher’s national gold award and a medal finalist for the 2010 Ben Franklin award, Taylor is an accomplished author, publishing numerous articles on a variety of subjects and three books. She is a 1975 graduate of Transylvania University and lives in Lexington and Sadieville, Ky., where she continues to write and publish on a freelance basis.
