LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 19, 2015) — Dr. Greg J. Feeney has been named vice president of Academics and Workforce Development at Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC). Feeney has most recently served as Dean of Academics at BCTC.

Prior to serving as Dean of Academics, Feeney served in other administrative roles in Academics including Assistant Dean of History, Languages, and Social Sciences at the college. He achieved the faculty rank of full professor and has been at BCTC for 18 years. He earned his doctorate, with an emphasis in interpersonal and health communication, at the University of Kentucky. He completed his masters at Northern Illinois University, with an emphasis in communication theory and organizational communication.

“In addition to having earned the respect of the faculty, staff, and students, Dr. Feeney is prepared to focus on both transfer and career preparation programs,” said Dr. Augusta A. Julian, president of BCTC. “He understands the role of BCTC in the community and can provide leadership as we work with partners to address achievement and skills gaps.”

Feeney replaced Dr. David Hellmich, who left BCTC in July to accept the presidency of Saulk Valley Community College in Dixon, Ill.
